# Shared schedule policy

# General availability for everyone

Here are the expected times of availability for team members in the following zones:

  • In South America and North America: from 14:00 to 17:00 CET/CEST,
  • In Europe and Africa: from 10:00 to 17:00 CET/CEST,
  • In Middle East and Asia: from 10:00 to 14:00 CET/CEST and we might ask you to be present punctually for all-staff meetings, such as the Heartbeat (opens new window), between 14:00-16:00 CET/CEST on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Available hours are not the same as your full working hours, which may be early in the morning or late at night depending on your time zone relative to other people and your personal preferences and responsibilities.

# Setting your availability in Google Calendar

Personalize your availability within the parameters above to specify your start and end of day, and lunch break.

The purpose of this is to let colleagues know when they can arrange meetings with you. It is not used for monitoring your working hours.

It’s still possible to decline a particular invitation if it does not work for you on that day. Think of it like a guideline to help your colleagues know when they generally can invite you to a meeting, especially if you’re not in the same time zone.

In the normal calendar view, you can also mark some periods of “deep work” time, or regular commitments such as childcare, so that these show as unavailable.
