# Sick Days
If youâre feeling unwell, we strongly ask you to rest and take some sick days.
First, let your manager know on Slack or by email that youâre sick and wonât be working.
If you want a message to copy-paste, weâve got your back.
âHi, Iâm not feeling well today. Iâll be off today and should be back tomorrow! [or if you need more time] Iâll be off for a few days, Iâll let you know as soon as Iâve seen the doctor.â
âHello, je ne me sens pas bien aujourdâhui. Je serai off aujourdâhui mais je pense revenir demain ! [or if you need more time] Je vais demander un arrĂȘt, je te dirai quand jâaurais les dates prĂ©vues.â
The administrative side depends on your type of contract.

You will need a doctorâs certificate (arrĂȘt de travail) from your doctor to request official sick days.
Hereâs what an official âarrĂȘt de travailâ looks like
# How to send your certificate
- Your doctor will give you a Cerfa document. Please fill out your personal information (name, social security number, address, work address & contact...)
- Pages 1 & 2 of the Cerfa document are intended for the Service MĂ©dical (= the Social Security center you are attached to â you can find yours on the Ameli.fr (opens new window) website). Please send these pages to the correct center by mail. You have up to 48 hours to do this.
- Page 3 of the Cerfa document is intended for your employer. Send it (scan, photo or original PDF file) to @Morgane Neff and/or @LaurĂšne on Slack or by email. We should have your certificate 48 hours after your first day off at the latest.
If you want a message to copy-paste, weâve got your back. âHi, I wonât be able to work these next few days, hereâs my medical certificate.â âHello, je ne travaillerai pas ces jours-ci, voici mon arrĂȘt maladie.â
If you do not have a certificate, we wonât legally be able to declare your off days as sick days. You can still use your paid time off days or request unpaid leave. In this case, as long as you keep your manager informed you arenât working, you can clear it up with @Morgane Neff and/or @LaurĂšne when you get back.
âčïž Meili is operating under the SYNTEC-CICF labor agreement (convention collective). If youâve been at Meili for a year or more and your sick leave does not last longer than 90 days, you will receive 100% of your salary. You can find more information here. If youâve been with us less than a year, you will be partially reimbursed through social security after the 3rd day of your sick leave. This means days 1-3 of your sick leave will be unpaid. You can find more information here.
